Chapter 12: From the Mojave to the Sahara

New location!  I like China, but it’s so nice to see another country.  After the founder’s recent passing away, the Wolfe family decide to take a trip to Al Simhara, Egypt.  Let’s see what Virgil, Tristan, Cascadia, and Roxanne get up to:

Day 1:

Virgil gets hired by MorcuCorp to search for some lost papers in a tomb.  Cascadia needs to find something called a “Moonbelly Sphinx”.  Whatever that is.

uh… Is that you, moonbelly?

uh… Is that you, moonbelly?

As the unofficial tomb-explorer, Tristan completes the Tomb of Discovery where he finds both of the lost relics.  That was convenient!  Then he goes to Sanaa Madbouli’s house and steals all of the hot dogs and cheese from her fridge.  Because that’s how he rolls.

Yet again, Roxanne gets the boring quests which involve running all over the map looking for things that tend to disappear by the time she gets there.

Day 2:

After finished the Ancient Library tomb, Tristan is contacted by the Al Simhara Cartographers’ Union.  His next quest is to visit the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx, the Ruins of Karnak, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Pyramid of Wind.  Why hire a foreigner like Tristan to do this when there are so many locals who know their own landmarks..?  Meh, fine.  But he did get Level 1 Visa!

Cascadia needs to disarm the traps in somebody’s basement.  Ooh, it’s called the Ancient Trap Nexus.  That could be fun!

“I can totally feel bugs, I just hope they’re dead.”

“I can totally feel bugs, I just hope they’re dead.”

Yea, just wander into the basement full of traps, that’s probably safe. And where are your shoes!?

Virgil’s asked to interrogate grill demand politely ask the locals how they feel about MorcuCorp.  The general consensus is they hate it.  It sounds like MorcuCorp is a cross between the Umbrella Corporation and Sirius Cybernetics.  Also there are rumours that MorcuCorp is in league with the Illsiminati.

For the Board of Tourism, Roxanne needs to photograph a treasure chest. That is all.

Day 3:

My Sims always get so much done on the last day, because they stop goofing around and get down to business.

"Can I give you a makeover?"

“Can I give you a makeover?”

To help build a post-Atomic propulsion drive, Virgil needs to collect Flame Fruit from the Tomb of the Burning Sands.  I know what you’re thinking, “Mister Wolfe, didn’t you bring 40 Flame Fruits with you on vacation?”  Yeah, but Virgil’s gotta go all the way to the tomb and walk in the front door before the game knows that and gives him the level 1 Visa.

Then it turns out that Virgil is working for some rebels who hate MorcuCorp, and he needs to get the Relic of the Sun before they do.  What a twist!

Cascadia spent most of the day sleeping.  Teenagers, amirite?

“And he was all like ‘Whoa, man..’”

“And he was all like ‘Whoa, man..’”

Tristan disarms the rest of the traps in Shadia Rashid’s house for his LTW.  I find it odd that Abdul Kamel paid for the mission because it’s not even his house!  What nefarious scheme is he hatching?

Roxanne gets more of the same: befriend this chap, photograph that thingy, find those things. She also gets her Rubble Excavator achievement for excavating rubble.  Huzzah!
