Generation 2: The Second Spouse!

Keri Wolfe nee Rocha has officially joined the Legacy family, so introductions are in order:

Keri Rocha, the second Generation.

Keri Rocha, the second Generation.

Born to Pedro and Madaleni, Keri is halfway through her Adult stage but is still able to contribute to the Wolfe legacy as Virgil’s spouse.  Keri grew up in a small Portuguese fishing village called Nazaré on the eastern edge of the Sim-lantic ocean.  She is used to the warm beaches and cool, airy nights of her homeland.

Pedro and Madaleni married young but didn’t have their first child until their late 30s.  While Pedro was still alive, he was a fisherman and somewhat of a local celebrity, well-known for selling his aquatic produce in the market with his four helpful sons.  When Madaleni was younger, she worked in one of the hotels as a cleaning lady and occasional waitress, but has been retired for many years now.

Keri is the fourth-born child and the only girl, which made it difficult growing up with four brothers.  She inherited her cleanliness and tidiness from her mother.  Keri didn’t have a lot of money or possessions growing up, so she learned how to make the best of any situation, and picked up the habit of “taking things home” after cleaning an employer’s home.  Like Alexander, Keri moved to Simnation in order to see a new world and gain new experiences.

After being hired by Roxanne to clean the legacy house, she met and fell in love with Virgil Wolfe.  Unbeknownst to all, she became pregnant shortly before the family vacation to France.  (Apparently it’s not against the rules to travel while pregnant.)  Her current lifetime goal is Heartbreaker. Her new lifetime goal is to own Private Museum.

Flirty trait Brave trait Neat trait Heavy Sleeper trait Kleptomaniac trait Makes No Messes trait can Apprehend Burglar

Flirty: Ooh, some Sims just cannot help themselves!  The suggestive eyebrow, the pressed lips, the best back massages.  Be warned, Sims of this persuasion are more likely to cheat on their wife or husband!

Brave: Situations that are scary, tense, or dangerous are of no concern to courageous Sims.

Neat: Some Sims genuinely enjoy making the bed, washing the dishes, and using bleach to clean the toilet.  Keeping the home tidy and clean is essential for their well-being.  She earned this trait from the Maid career.

Heavy Sleeper: Dead to the world means being able to sleep through anything.  Earthquakes, air-raid warnings, Simzilla, it doesn’t matter because they won’t hear it!

Kleptomaniac: Sticky fingers, five-fingered discount, or maybe it just fell off the back of a truck.  Possession is nine-tenths of the law, and klepto-Sims often wind up “borrowing” other people’s property.

Makes No Messes: No need for tidy-up-time with Sims who are naturally avoid creating both filth and clutter.

Can Apprehend Burglar: Freeze punk!  You picked the wrong house to rob!  She earned this trait from the Law Enforcement career.

New Lifetime Wish:

Private Museum Lifetime Wish

Private Museum: Keri decided to change her lifetime wish to owning a Private Museum.  As wife and sister-in-law to the World Adventurer’s generation, Keri will have plenty of opportunities to go on vacation and collect at least §20,000 worth of relics.

Old Lifetime Wish:

Heartbreaker Lifetime Wish

Heartbreaker: Keri wants to be a Heartbreaker.  Heartbreaker, you’ve got the best of me; but I just keep on comin’ back, incessantly.  Her lifetime goal is to date 10 different men and/or women at the same time.

(Out of everything the Sims want to do, this has got to be one of the craziest IMHO.  Who would genuinely enjoy keeping so many relationships hidden, sneaking around town, risk being caught at every turn, and possibly being branded a cheater?  Does the risk warrant the gain?)

Shawarma Kids Music The colour Orange Capircorn Zodiac sign

Favourites: Keri’s favourite dish is Shawarma, she prefers Kid’s sing-a-longs, she loves the colour Orange, and she’s a Capricorn.  I have no idea how to make Shawarma.

Love it! The great thing about the Heartbreaker LTW is that the relationships don’t actually have to be simultaneous. So you just have to go steady and break up with ten people in a row, but your sim ends up looking like a total douchebag anyway (re: the entire first generation of my legacy…. haha). That’s as opposed to “Have 20 Simultaneous Lovers” in Sims 2… I wouldn’t touch that one with a 90-foot pole.

Yeah, I was debating whether or not I’d make Keri out as a gold-digger or a faithful wife. In the past I would’ve taken it with gusto and sent her after every guy in town, but now I feel it’s really mean for all Sims involved. With so many better LTRs I think I’ll just switch to a different one.

I don’t like that LTW either… the little Sim lives are too short, so it’s not realistic at all. A real person can easily have that many ex’s in their life, but in TS3, it’s like OOH a person! Flirt flirt, cause a divorce, go steady, break up, wash, rinse, repeat. You can’t even have any time with any of them.

I might still use that one later on if there’s a Sim I don’t particularly like. But there’s 86 LTWs and unless I have 86 members of the legacy family there’s really no need to get stuck with a LTW I don’t like that much.

The Heartbreaker LTW can be handy for some challenges, such as a WYDC or other baby-making one. But in normal legacies it’s annoying. I like Keri’s new LTW, sounds like a fun one. And relatively easy to fulfill, if she’s going to be accompanying Virgil on his travels. Good choice!

The way I’m playing TS3 right now and the Heartbreaker LTW don’t really mesh. Eventually I might have a Lothario or Lola, but not yet. Private Museum is a good one, because I wanted to boost up the lot value and collecting relics, nectar, rocks and insects is a pretty good way to do this.

Nice backstory for Keri! I like the new LTW you’ve picked for her. As you said, this is a perfect choice for the second generation! I believe you can buy the recipe for Shawarma in Al Simhara 😉
