Hey all. Did I mention my family’s moving? My parents have been in the same house for about 30 years*, but it’s time to move into something smaller. The process is simply exhausting; getting rid of antique tables, family heirloom clocks, 4 televisions, 12 VCRs, 3 Betamax players, the clutter and debris of at least 2 to 3 houses, plus that extra piano we had..
*Which is incidentally my age.
And cleaning! Cleaning like you wouldn’t believe! I hate cleaning, & I just end up hiding everything in boxes. Our never-ending “Open House” means keeping everything clean for random ppl to take tours. But anyways, let’s check in with our virtual protagonists.
**I’m not sure if this counts as irony or not, but our real estate agent’s name: Mr. Wolf.
Week 26 – Day 176:
It was a scorching hot Sunday. Serefina & Niobe are 97, Hyperion & Deo have 3 days left until they’re Adults, Iris has 7 days before she’s an Adult, and Belladonna has 20 days left till Adulthood.
Niobe’s new life-goal is to finish 100 sculptures before she passes away. Challenge accepted! Hyperion keeps rising in the Architecture career, as he becomes the Regeant of Rugs (7). Oh, Sofia King-Tanner (nee Ross) died! She was one of Joe’s illegitimate children.
Serefina’s asked to be in a cameo for a play at the Imagine That! theater. Also Iris reaches her first celebrity level, Fame Leecher.
After getting promoted to Supporting Actor (lvl 8), Deo’s up to Renowned VIP (celebrity lvl 4). His Agent also tells him to entertain some sick and dying children at the Sacred Spleen Hospital. But there’s nothing funny about that. 😦
Iris got promoted up to Best Girl (2). Then somebody started a rumor that Belladonna is rummaging through Sims’ garbages! It’s untrue but, believable.
Hyperion has a rumor-spreading problem too; people say he got in a fight with someone, and he lost 4 friends. That sucks..
I threw a going-away party at The Grind, with all the town’s celebrities & cousins invited. That way I could dispel all the rumours as my notes put it “in a giant fluster-fumbrella”. I’m not too sure what that means..
Hold the phone; I installed Generations here! (Did I mention that Iris is pregnant?)
This expansion doesn’t add any ground-breaking new features* to the game, it kindof builds on existing ones. Kids and Teens get the most, with pranks, after-school activities, school dances, field trips, learning to drive, & a bunch of fun little interactions. Sadly, no new buildings. 😕 I do love new community lots.
*Such as Tomb-Exploring, the Celebrity system, house Pets, visiting the Future, etc. But there is 1 new Career & 1 newish Skill object.
Like his mother, Hyperion’s asked to record a commercial for the Llama Musk Perfume. Sweet enough for a woman, strong enough for a man!
Belladonna sues the paparazzi for slander & the gross misuse of the term “garbage”. She loses miserably.
The studio wants Deo to stay late & shoot a few extra scenes, but it’s his birthday! No thanx. He still gets promoted to Lead Actor (9) and wins the prestigious Green Orb Award.
Here’s a new thing; Deo and Hyperion are each having a Midlife Crisis. I guess it makes sense: neither have raised any kids, completed their LTW, or even mastered their career. They’ve basically done nothing in their first 50 days of life!
The way a midlife crisis works is they’ll get special wishes (like buy an expensive car or get a haircut), and the more they do the more points they’ll earn. But they also get locked in, so I need to choose wisely.
Deo agrees to share screen time with a fellow actor; it lessens his personal performance but makes him more popular with the rest of the crew.
Terrible news readers.. Lewis Wolfe Morel (Cascadia’s son) third child, Winston.. He was born Good! Simply horrible! His parents must be so ashamed of him!
Sadly, it’s time for Iodine to move out and make it on her own. I do love my robots and occult Sims, but I need to make some room for new Legacy members. I wonder if she’ll stay in the Gardener career or choose a new one?
Iris gives birth to a cute-little taco-baby. Her name’s Europa, she’s Evil & rolls Loner. Technically, she has been born out of wedlock, but I’m sure nobody will mind because Iris & Deo are famous! Their station in life makes them better than normal Sims!
Apparently, I was wrong. Rumours are already spreading about Deo having a child born before marriage! I guess bastards are frowned upon in this universe.
So, Europa Snow then? Or maybe Europa Sand?
Another new Generations feature, Europa got a special present from her second-cousin Eugenia. It’s sortof a creepy looking doll.
Mummy Kajaptah and Kenton Diwan-Irwin are committed to eachother. That’s nice, maybe they’ll have little mummy-babies. The Stadium asked Iris to quit the Acting career and start working Athletics. What?, no..
Some random music-hating gnome made a mess at the Solitary Novel trying to find “Ode to Fish Kid”, so Deo’s asked to organize all the sheet music.
Iris hired a babysitter named Marlon Singh. He sucks at it.
This time I made Iris propose marriage, and Deo said yes! This makes her popularity rise to Notable Figure (2).
Diana Vasquez-Steel starts giving birth in the middle of the street, and Hyperion kindof, um, abandons her. He saw a really pretty lady named Kiki across the street that he simply HAD to meet.
As tradition would have it, time for a Bachelorette party! Iris, Serefina, Niobe, and Belladonna all go while the men stay at home to watch the baby. Apparently some rando named Rhonda Diwan-Irwin is Iris’ closest friend. She even ordered male strippers too!
Yep, and that’s it for the week! Next week they’ll be a wedding, and a legacy member will die. (It’s probably not the one you’re thinking of.)
Community death count: 241 or so.
Legacy Score: 75. (Gen: 5 + LTW: 10 + Portraits: 13 + House: 20 + LTR: 27)
Theme song of the week: “Home” by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
